Inspection of Assets
Asset Inspections form part of of AMCS's Fraud Prevention and Detection Services to prevent and detect the Misuse and Misappropriation of Assets due to Fraud. Timely and regular Inspection of Assets also helps to identify damaged and impaired Assets and monitor the addition of new assets and current use assets which can be used to update:
> The Financial Statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and
> The list of Assets being insured (Insurance Schedule).
If instances of Misuse or Missappropriation of Assets are identified during the review, AMCS can resolve anomalies or instances of suspected fraud by performing Fraud Investigation (Fraud Examination) Services.
Asset Inspections also include: Inspection of Assets, Inventory Counts and Inspection, Cash Counts and Point Of Sale Reconciliations, Investment Securities Counts and Inspections, Trade Payables or Supplier Reconciliations, Trade Receivables Reconciliation, General Ledger Account Reconciliation, Jamaica Tax Return Reviews
These inspections can be performed daily, weekly or monthly based on the nature of the entity’s activities and its requirements.
